ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Job Summary:

An associate attorney typically works for a law firm and assists senior partners in providing legaThe Associate Attorney’s responsibilities include meeting with clients to ascertain their needs, choosing the most appropriate course of action, and representing clients’ interests at meetings and in court. During the process, you will be required to collaborate with and report to the Attorney in charge of each case.l counsel to clients who need to prevent or resolve conflicts. Their main responsibilities are conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and appearing in court.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Experience between 3-7 years and handling first party PIP, comprehensive and collision cases or homeowners’ cases.
Must have full knowledge to handle coverage issues such as material misrepresentation for a range of reasons and/or cancellation of policy for various reasons including but not limited to non-payment of premiums.
Must have experience in defending depositions and taking depositions, drafting discovery responses and filing various discovery motions.
Great legal research and writing skills. Speaking Spanish is helpful but not required. Able to prepare for and attend discovery hearings.
Have full knowledge in drafting motions for summary judgment, drafting oppositions to a defendant’s motion for summary judgment and attending hearings on a motion for summary judgment.
Trial experience is not necessary but helpful.
Have a practice in handling appeals, public records cases and condominium law cases. Experience in these areas of the law is helpful but not required.
Will be able to teach candidates at any level experience how to handle these types of cases.
With either no experience or limited experience.
Must good legal research and writing skills and be able to take direction. Attorney will need to work well with staff.

Minimum Requirements:

Speaking Spanish is helpful but not required.
Education: Accredited Law degree.
Experience: 3-7 years
