AVP Portfolio Manager

Revision of all submitted loan packages (new/renewal) to ensure completeness and accuracy based on the Bank’s credit policy and guidelines.
Performs preliminary underwriting on new loan requests to ensure that loan complies with credit policy guidelines and risk appetite before final submission to Credit.
Collects appropriate financial information to ensure an accurate risk assessment and thorough underwriting.
Ensures that renewal letters are sent to the customer identifying the key financial information needed in advance to process the renewal request.
Tracks and monitors financial exception reports.
Tracks documentation exception reports.
Works with Jr. Portfolio Manager(s) as to all aspects of the assigned loan portfolio(s).
Monitors upcoming past due loans as to loan payments and/or renewals.
Assist with internal and external audit of credit files for compliance with regulatory and policy requirements in connection with regulatory examination.
Works closely with assigned lender(s) having constant and clear communication to ensure a clean quality portfolio.
Performs site visits of new and existing loan requests.
Assists with the closing process, including collection of documents and follow up of the closing checklist as well as attending loan closings, if needed.
Ongoing interaction with key internal departments, including Credit Underwriting, Loan Closing, Loan Operations and BSA.
