If you are interested in a banking internship, this site provides a centralized listing of opportunities across Florida — including key contacts, deadlines, and application requirements.
To ensure the security and integrity of the site—and to help us understand who is using it—you will need to sign into the portal. We collect only the information necessary to facilitate your interest in banking internships. Your data may be shared with the Florida Bankers Association, New Edge Associates, and participating banks for this purpose only. FBA, New Edge, or a participating bank may contact you with additional information related to internship opportunities. Your personal information will be retained only as long as necessary to support your engagement with internship opportunities and will be promptly and securely deleted upon your request or when no longer needed.
Yes, you will still need to apply directly to each bank’s internship program. However, the portal makes it easier to discover opportunities you might not have known about, and banks may also reach out to you based on the information you share here.
Each bank’s internship program has its own timeline and procedures. Please refer to the bank’s specific information regarding its internship.
No. The portal is simply a venue for banks to connect with students who may be interested in an internship program. It is a listing of the available internships available at Florida banks and allows the student to connect with the bank. This portal does not change each bank’s internship application process.
The Florida Bankers Association (FBA) and New Edge Associates (New Edge), who have partnered on the portal, remain open to exploring additional features in the future. Any new capabilities would be jointly reviewed and approved by FBA and New Edge Associates, and communicated with member banks to ensure they align with their needs and priorities.
Not at this time. The portal is designed as a one-stop resource for students to explore available bank internships across Florida. Students will be asked to provide basic contact information and will have the option to submit a resume. The FBA and New Edge will have access to this information. For banks that would like to receive resumes, we will establish a process to share them in the future.
The Bank on Your Future internship portal was created in direct response to member interest in building the next generation of bankers and giving college students greater exposure to opportunities in banking.
The portal is intended to serve as another “front door” for banks with available internships, helping them connect with students who are actively seeking opportunities. It is not a new internship program, but rather a tool to showcase the opportunities that already exist across Florida.
Your bank’s participation is greatly valued. In the coming weeks, we will share access to the portal so you can see how your information is displayed. Our goal is to help drive more student interest directly to your bank. If you have questions, feedback, or ideas for how we can improve the portal, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
The FBA’s mission is to support bankers in better serving their customers and communities. The Bank on Your Future internship portal was developed in direct response to member interest in cultivating the next generation of bankers and connecting college students with opportunities in the industry.
The portal provides banks with a mechanism to reach students seeking internships, while also raising awareness of banking as a career path. The FBA is actively promoting the initiative to member banks and trust companies and sharing it with students at Bank on Your Future and other engagement events. Participation is free of charge for both banks and students.
New Edge Associates is an executive search firm for Banking, Finance, and Accounting. They are Associate Members of the Florida Bankers Association (FBA). As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the FBA’s mission and promoting careers in banking, New Edge is proud to collaborate on this initiative. By partnering with the FBA, New Edge aims to:
Establish a strong, long-term partnership with the FBA.
Collaborate on the "Bank on Your Future" program to help students explore and access opportunities within the banking industry.
Build visibility and foster relationships with FBA member banks that may participate in or benefit from the internship program.
To support these goals, New Edge Associates is hosting the internship portal at the request of the FBA and is not charging participating banks or students. While New Edge may reference this partnership in its own communications to highlight its support for Florida’s banking community, there will be no direct advertising or promotion through the portal itself.
